I’ve been working in Data for over a decade, but my road to get here has been somewhat unconventional. I studied Accounting at the University of Pittsburgh. In my Junior year, I fell in love with coding, and realized that a career in tech was within my grasp.
While I completed my undergrad, I began interning for the technology department at a global corporate law firm. This is where I was paid to write my first code, and I worked automating Excel spreadsheets with VBA and learning R and SQL in my spare time in order to allow my team to work more efficiently and provide more powerful insights to firm leadership.
Soon after graduating, I made the jump to independent consulting. One of my first clients was a public utility. This was where I really first tested my business analysis chops and learned that no technology is any good without the people and processes in place to leverage them.
Since then, I have worked with a number of companies across several industries: Healthcare, SciTech, and Manufacturing to name a few. I focus on leveraging technology to automate complex data processes and designing data solutions tailor-made to efficiently provide useful information to my clients.
The best part is that I love learning and applying my skills and best practices to every individual challenge that comes my way. I take a very personalized approach to every client and issue I encounter. Just because I have a SnowPro certification doesn’t mean that Snowflake is the right product for every business.
